Christmas by the Sea - December 2 - 4, 2016
In December, Camden is transformed into a festive and intimate fairytale town, complete with an enchanting star on top of Mt. Battie overlooking the town. Christmas by the Sea, featuring a full weekend of activities, kicks off the season with a holiday parade, Santa’s arrival (by boat!) to the Midcoast, store-wide sales, free photos with Santa, open houses and craft fairs.
Camden Winterfest Week - February 4 - February 12, 2017
Downtown Camden and the Camden Snow Bowl. Winterfest is a community celebration of winter. And it's growing. With live music, downtown rail jams, snow sculptures, ice carving and ice skating—there’s fun for all ages!
U.S. National Toboggan Championships - February 10 - 12 2017
This amateur event started in the 1990s and has swelled into a serious affair, with people coming from all over the U.S and overseas, often with their wooden toboggans roped to the roof of their family SUVs. The 400-foot long, one-run toboggan chute is located at the Camden Snow Bowl skiing area.
Camden Conference - February 17 - 19, 2017
The 30th Annual Camden Conference, “Refugees and Global Migration: Humanity’s Crisis”, is presented live from the Camden Opera House. This year's Conference will feature lively discussions with speakers chosen for their firsthand knowledge and strong views on migrant and refugee issues. They will explore the varied causes of the current international crisis and the unique challenges that come with accepting immigrants from particular countries, regions, and demographic groups.
